Recent expansion at TEi Ltd - one of the UK’s leading organisations specialising in repair and maintenance of high-pressure steam raising plant and equipment in power stations and on petrochemical plant – has seen the company select heavy duty flooring systems developed by Resdev Ltd for its new workshops, laboratories and other operational areas.

Specialist installers ACC Flooring were tasked with selecting flooring systems capable not only of withstanding the rigours of a process environment but also meeting stringent Health & Safety standards and creating a working environment reflecting TEi’s commitment to safety, quality and performance.

ACC recommended Resdev’s Pumadur HF throughout TEi’s new extension, which houses machine shops and the fabrications department as well as metallurgical laboratories.
The flooring has also been used in the reception area, where in combination with a clear resin coating ACC have included the company logo to create a corporate finish underfoot.

Pumadur HF is a heavy duty, polyurethane-based flooring system developed to provide excellent resistance to abrasion and chemical attack. Featuring a slip resistant texture, the material is stable to steam cleaning and hot water exposure.

The new flooring has now been installed throughout, including corridors, walkways, washrooms and offices, complete with a top coat of Resdev’s Pumashield, a clear medium viscosity epoxy coating which has allowed TEi to encapsulate key safety
messages into specific working areas.
